“Just let go for God’s sake, I never want to see you again! I don’t want your letters, phone calls, anything! You left me!” She yelled. Yet Louis stood there silently. His blank expression provoking her to yell yet more “who the hell did you think you were! What were you thinking! Give me some sort of reason! Surely you owe me that much!”
“I owe you nothing.”  He continued to stare. “I am here. And you are NOT leaving me.”
“So you’re going to stop me?”
“You can’t leave”
Lydia grabbed her bag from the kitchen and pushed past him. He caught her sleeve of her jacket tearing it. The force knocked her slightly but with little more than a glance she continued towards the door. “Louis you are cold. Hard, uncaring and cold.”
She reached out for the lock on the door. “Never come near me again!” suddenly a crippling pain shot through her left hand and arm. She twisted to look at her hand. Blood was flowing from a deep tear. She then turned to Louis who was holding a knife. Tears were rapidly forming from the pain. “You monster!” she cried her vision faded to darkness and she collapsed to the floor.

When she awoke she immediately looked down at her hand, which had now been bandaged. The room was hers thank goodness. Maybe one of the neighbours had heard the shouting and screaming and come round to see if everything was ok. Found her collapsed on the floor. What happened with Louis? She hoped he was in a prison cell somewhere But why wasn’t she in hospital though? Wouldn’t that be the first place they would have taken her? The door handle creaked and the door opened to show what she dreaded.
“ you can’t leave me” he said
